Born the son a the Florentine sculptor Pietro Bernini, Gian Lorenzo, started working as a teenager with his father, conquering the trust of Pope Paul V Borghese and his successors, in his long career Bernini made several Popes happy!

We will explore his life and his work mainly as a sculptor and a scenographer, uncovering his dark and violent side as well and the exceedingly erotic nuances of many of his celebrated works. from mythology to saints, from busts to tombs Bernini modeled the marble as if it was clay showing to an entire generation of artists what could be achieved in marble!
