TREBBIANO IGT
Trebbiano di Capezzana is a wine with a unique flavor, produced using high-quality cultivation techniques and mass selection of grapes. The young vines are located on east-facing hillsides. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks and barriques/tonneaux, followed by aging in barriques and tonneaux for 6 months. The wine is then aged in the bottle for a further 6 months. On the palate, it is fresh, smooth, and harmonious, with perfect balance and extraordinary persistence.
Pairing and tasting suggestions:
Trebbiano di Capezzana is ideal as an aperitif, but also pairs well with fish, shellfish, risotto, and summer salads. It is best served at a temperature of 54-57°F to fully appreciate its aromatic notes and freshness.
COLOR: Straw yellow with golden hues
AROMA: Almond, yellow wildflowers, vanilla
FLAVOR: Intense and harmonious with delicate tannins, its soft elegance reveals an ethereal and balanced wine with a complex and persistent aftertaste.
VILLA DI CAPEZZANA DOCG (RED)
Villa di Capezzana is a fine wine produced by the Contini Bonacossi family since 1925. Using only the best Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, the winemaking process involves the use of steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak tonneaux and bottle aging for at least 12 months. Intense ruby red in color with violet reflections, the wine has fruity notes of cherry and blackberry, accompanied by pleasant hints of spice and leather. On the palate, it is smooth and fresh, with a perfect balance between tannins and acidity, and a broad and complex aftertaste with a long persistence that tends towards sweet licorice.
Pairing and tasting suggestions:
Villa di Capezzana is ideal for enjoying in company, perhaps during an important dinner or lunch, accompanying red meats and roasts, but also mature cheeses and pasta dishes with flavorful sauces. It is best served at a temperature of 16-18°C, after allowing it to breathe for at least half an hour. A wine to be savored slowly, to fully appreciate its nuances and unique notes.
COLOR: Intense ruby red
AROMA: Elegant, with notes of black cherry and raspberry well blended with ripe fruit
FLAVOR: Soft and enveloping on the palate, with soft tannins and good body. The acidity is present but well balanced by the richness of the tannins. Long finish, with an aftertaste tending towards sweet licorice
TREFIANO DI CAPEZZANA (DOCG)
Capezzana's Trefiano is a very rare and prized Tuscan Carmignano DOCG wine, born from an idea by Vittorio Contini Bonacossi in 1979. Produced only in small quantities each year, the grapes come from two centuries-old vineyards near the Villa di Trefiano. The clayey schist soil gives the wine unique organoleptic characteristics. The blend comprises 80% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet, and 10% Canaiolo. Trefiano is aged for 18 months in tonneaux and then in the bottle for at least 1 year. The color is an intense ruby red, with an elegant aroma of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, vanilla, and licorice. On the palate, the wine is balanced and harmonious, with a delicate tannic texture and a persistent, spicy finish.
Pairing and tasting suggestions:
Capezzana's Trefiano is a wine that should be served at a temperature of 18-19°C to enhance its organoleptic characteristics. As for food pairings, this wine is perfect with meat dishes, both red and white, thanks to its balanced structure and characteristic spicy notes.
COLOR: Intense ruby red
AROMA: Ample, elegant, persistent, fruity with spicy notes
FLAVOR: Soft, structured, almost opulent fat, with dense tannins. Acidity balanced with the structure and volume of the wine. Long and persistent aftertaste with fruity notes of small red fruits combined with spices. Excellent aromatic dimension on the finish with a rich spicy and fruity aftertaste.
