For more than 50 years, Pinot Grigio has grown on well-exposed and ventilated clayey soils, close to the sea and the mountains. It is produced in the Le Ronche farm, located in Fossalta di Piave. "Le Ronche" is the name of the locality where these Pinot Grigio vineyards are located on soil of alluvial origin, called "caranto", made up of white clay and sediments of dolomitic rock.

This white is striking for the intensity of the aromas, which range from exotic fruit to spices, revealing amplitude and remarkable persistence on the palate. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks at a controlled temperature. Then the wine matures in these containers for a few months on its own yeasts, which are periodically resuspended by frequent stirring, in order to increase the organoleptic thickness and harmony of the wine.

On the glass it shows straw yellow with coppery reflections, a fine and fruity aroma of white pulp fruit with floral notes. On the palate it is very delicate, full-bodied, with hints of walnut and toasted almond.

The De Stefani family is originally from Refrontolo, a hilly village in the Veneto region in Italy, as shown by official documents from 1624.

In the second half of the 1800s, Valeriano De Stefani, the founder, identified the best lands where to produce wines with a strong personality in the Colvendrame farm in Refrontolo, on the hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, north of Venice, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

His son Valeriano, second generation, inspired by his fussy wife Angelina, started the tradition that the De Stefani family have always adhered to: total dedication to uncompromising quality.

Tiziano, the third generation, went into the Piave valley, identifying highly esteemed land in Le Ronche in Fossalta di Piave and Pra 'Longo in Monastier di Treviso, both north-east of Venice and located near the Adriatic Sea and the Dolomites mountains. vocati composed of “caranto”: a mixture of white clay and minerals from the Dolomites. Respecting the ancient family traditions, he brought important qualitative innovations in the management of the vineyards and in the vinification.

Today Alessandro De Stefani, fourth generation, produces wines according to a very natural philosophy, from old vines with very high density. Valuing the native vines, it has developed a worldwide distribution, with a production limited to 400,000 bottles per year produced from 60 hectares of vineyards, reported in the most important Guides
