Intense gold colored wine with amber reflections. On the nose, the olfactory intensity is played on aromas of flowers such as orange blossom and broom, fruit such as yellow melon, ripe yellow flesh such as peach and apricot, and candied orange. The Mediterranean scrub is very present both on the nose, where you can recognize thyme, sage, marjoram, and in the mouth, where hints of helichrysum and medicinal herbs such as mugwort and sea fennel return.

The sip is warm, soft, full, opulent but well balanced by a remarkable freshness and flavor that persist on the palate together with the aromas of candied fruit and dried fruit, such as sweet shorn almond. Of great structure and persistence, to be combined with blue and aged cheeses, foie gras, goose liver pate and structured desserts based on dried fruit, cocoa and chocolate

The identity of the Euganean Hills territory, which has always been at the center of Maeli's research, finds great potential in Moscato Giallo, and in soils of ancient volcanic origins, rich in trachyte, limestone and clay which in the vineyards are mixed with layers of marl and silt. Hence the name Maeli.

Inside the Euganean Hills Park, in the heart of Veneto, the Moscato Giallo vineyards are found mainly on Mount Pirio. Here nature enchants with breathtaking views of the Venice lagoon on one side and the Dolomites on the other, and for the rich vegetation of holm oaks, strawberry trees, brooms, prickly pears, rose hips and wild blackberries. This marvelous setting is Le Terre Bianche del Pirio ”, the kingdom of Moscato Giallo Maeli.

The variety of soils, the slope of the hills, the different exposures of the vineyards, the peculiarity of the microclimates, the temperature variations of this side and the rich vegetation and fruit and olive trees around, are the natural context that Maeli wants to express in the its wines.
