Montepulciano di Abruzzo

Grapes: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo - Sangiovese.

Production area: In the heart of the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.

Terrain: Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 metres above sea level, with mostly calcareous clay soil.

Marketing time: Determined by the oenologist in relation to the optimal characteristics of the product. In any case not before the month of May the second year after vinification.

Vinification and aging: Maceration of the skins at controlled temperature in stainless steel fermentation tanks.

Sensory characteristics: Ruby red with bright purple hues. Generous aroma of red fruit and delicate spicy notes. Soft, with good structure, balanced and with good length.

Food and wine pairings: Perfect for traditional Mediterranean dishes, it pairs very well with first courses with meat sauces as well as with red and white grilled meat. Great with several medium-aged cheeses.

Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
