Production area In the heart of the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.
Terrain Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 metres above sea level, with mostly calcareous clay soil.
Marketing time January/February, the year after harvest.
Vinification and aging Short cold maceration, soft pressing and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks.
Sensory characteristics Pale yellow with golden hues. Aroma of fresh yellow and mature fruit, delicate balsamic and floral notes. With good structure and long length.
Food and wine pairings Ideal with raw fish and seafood. It matches well also with delicate meat-based dishes, with vegetables, fresh and semi-mature cheeses. Excellent as an aperitif.
