Stefano Bardini began his career as an artist, but quickly applied his artistic senses to the practice of art restoration and collection, becoming one of the most important antiquarians of his age. He built his own exhibit hall in the former San Gregorio alla Pace convent in 1880, where his collection is now housed. This ample guide provides visitors with detailed descriptions and illustrations of the many pieces exhibited, along with biographies of the artists, a glossary, and index.
