VILLA DI CAPEZZANA (RED)
Villa di Capezzana is a fine wine produced by the Contini Bonacossi family since 1925. Using only the best Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, the winemaking process involves the use of steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak tonneaux and bottle aging for at least 12 months. Intense ruby red in color with violet reflections, the wine has fruity notes of cherry and blackberry, accompanied by pleasant hints of spice and leather. On the palate, it is smooth and fresh, with a perfect balance between tannins and acidity, and a broad and complex aftertaste with a long persistence that tends towards sweet licorice.
Pairing and tasting suggestions:
Villa di Capezzana is ideal for enjoying in company, perhaps during an important dinner or lunch, accompanying red meats and roasts, but also mature cheeses and pasta dishes with flavorful sauces. It is best served at a temperature of 61-64°F, after allowing it to breathe for at least half an hour. A wine to be savored slowly, to fully appreciate its nuances and unique notes.
COLOR: Intense ruby red
AROMA: Elegant, with notes of black cherry and raspberry well blended with ripe fruit
FLAVOR: Soft and enveloping on the palate, with soft tannins and good body. The acidity is present but well balanced by the richness of the tannins. Long finish, with an aftertaste tending towards sweet licorice
BARCO REALE DOC (red)
Barco Reale di Carmignano DOC Bio by Capezzana: a wine with a strong and decisive character that enhances the unique characteristics of the Carmignano terroir, made from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Canaiolo grapes grown according to organic principles. A wine with an intense ruby color with violet reflections, an intense aroma of wild berries and herbaceous and oak notes, a balanced flavor and pleasant freshness, with soft and velvety tannins and a persistent finish.
Pairing and tasting suggestions:
Capezzana's Barco Reale di Carmignano DOC Bio pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, roasts and braised meats, as well as aged cheeses and fine cured meats. We recommend serving the wine at a temperature of around 64°F, after decanting it for at least an hour or in large glasses that promote proper oxygenation.
COLOR: Intense ruby red with violet hues
AROMA: Sweet, broad, fine, very intense, fruity, with slight notes of oak
FLAVOR: Soft, voluminous, broad with sweet tannins of medium density in great balance with acidity. Fruity and persistent aftertaste
